Sil Anderson, RN, LNC, BS, MAAA developed Senior Choices Unlimited, LLC,
a home care agency in the Wilmington, NC metro area, in response to the growing needs of our seniors.
Sil understands first-hand the unique challenges faced by the “Sandwich Generation.”
As she cared for her aging Father, who lived well into his 80’s, while maintaining her professional life, both on a local and national level, as well as the
duties of being both a mother and a wife, Sil recognized that supporting seniors requires more than just skilled nursing visits.
Combining her unique knowledge base and the skills she had acquired through her 20 years of experience in the Health Care and Human Resource Management
Industries, Sil has sculpted a simple vision into an advanced multi-faceted agency which is keenly focused on the needs of the elderly and their caregivers
regarding today’s real-life issues.
In 1999, Sil was inducted into the International Who’s Who of Entrepreneurs. Throughout her career, Sil has been involved in adult education, learning and training.
She was formerly an adjunct instructor at Cape Fear Community College
for the Continuing Education Department. She also served as a resource manager for the Coastal Home Care Coalition (Duke Endowment Education Grant).
Sil previously served as a National Project Trainer/Nurse Reviewer for Aperture’s HEDIS Survey, and as a preceptor
and an advisor for the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC),
coordinating education for surveyors, and conducting “Train-The-Trainer” workshops for future prospective preceptors.
Sil is the founder and President of UHS/Educational Services. She is also an Organizational Development & Design (ODD)
Consultant, and a Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC).
Sil is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington,
where she studied Nursing and
Psychology. She is also a graduate of
Mount Olive College of Wilmington,
with a degree in Business Administration/Organizational Development & Design. She is currently enrolled at St. Joseph’s College pursuing a dual Master’s Degree (MHA/MSN).
Today, Sil simultaneously manages multiple professional roles; she is a “hands-on”
Home Care Administrator, a Senior Care Case Manager,
a Registered Nurse, a National Consultant, and an educator
for home health organizations, home care agencies, and
Hospice organizations.
By far, Her favorite role however, is being an altruistic caregiver for her beautiful
103 year-old mother.
